Ewok Shamans
The Ewok Shaman Lore is the Ewok equivalent of Force Use. "The living spirit is a great and mysterious power of which the Ewoks are all part of, even the leaves are things separate yet part of the tree. All things are part of the great tree." - Logray, Ewok Shaman. Every Ewok village contains a Shaman who is proficient in Ewok Shaman Lore. An Ewok training under someone must be at least slightly less powerful than the teach or it does not work. An Ewok who has no teacher may teach him/herself, but this is both more time consuming and harder to do. The Ewok child may be taken away from the family for extended periods of time. This may vary from 1 week to a number of months. When a pupil learns Ewok Shaman Lore, he/she does not yet have mastery over all the individual powers accompanying it. He/she must still learn powers from a teacher/teaching instrument or else experiment to develop the powers. The first skills an Ewok Shaman in training receives are Sun Ritual, Rain Ritual and Passage Ritual. Each week of training, the Ewok gains the capacity to master a new power. Generally, an Ewok trainign by themselves will take twice as long. Ewok spells require some form of material, somatic and vocal actions to be performed. Ewok Shaman Lore cannot be used instantaneously but must be prepared beforehand. By using a mystical combination of dance, vocal and instrumental rhythms, the Shaman is more able to become attuned with the environment and manipulate the spirits. As Ewoks are less physiologically complex than human, their ability to manipulate the Force is more difficult. An Ewok Shaman is capable of using Force powers but it is slightly harder for them. Ewok Shamans gain their powers from the spirits of the trees, animals, land and the elements. The more complex the ecosystem, the more life, energy and spirits the Ewok Shaman can tap. The less complex the ecosystem, the more difficult for the Ewok Shaman to use his/her powers.

Fallanassi
The Fallanassi tradition is unusual in that its members do not even acknowledge the existence of the Force as it is thought of by the majority of the galaxy. Instead, they believe in what they call the White Current.
The White Current is assumed by non-Fallanassi to be simply another way of looking at the Force, as it exhibits many of the same qualities. The Fallanassi, however, believe that it has profoundly different properties. The Fallanassi don’t even believe in channeling energy the way other traditions tap into the Force, but rather “immerse” themselves in the White Current using passive techniques. The concept of “using” the Force is almost completely foreign to them, just as their analogy that dipping into the White Current is like a swimmer diving into a rushing river is incomprehensible to a Jedi.
According to all that’s known about the Fallanassi, the tradition is very old, possibly older than the Republic itself. However, unlike other Force traditions that attempt to recruit new members to their organization, the Fallanassi have dedicated themselves almost completely to hiding their existence from the galaxy at large. As such, no records of their existence were even written until Luke Skywalker encountered them many years after the fall of the Empire.
Secrecy being one of their main concerns, the Fallanassi rarely if ever take part in large-scale events that could possibly uncover their existence. They avoid major events at all costs and are as likely to turn their backs on any conflict to protect their own interests as they are to flee with everything they own.
The Fallanassi are primarily Human, though non-Humans have occasionally been brought into the fold. Their communities are small and scattered, and out of necessity the entire group is mobile. They could almost be considered a nomadic people, except for the fact that their movement is not based on the expenditure of resources, but rather on the preservation of their own secrecy.
The Fallanassi constantly keep watch for anyone or anything that might threaten their privacy. Their efforts were successful until, out of necessity, they were forced to contact Luke Skywalker. Graciously, Master Skywalker recorded minimal information about the Fallanassi in his report back to the New Republic and, aside from their sheer existence, revealed almost nothing about their ways or powers.
To the Fallanassi, the Force is a flowing river rather than an energy field. They believe they must immerse themselves in this river rather than attempt to use the Force like a tool, and this means of accessing the White Current has affected every aspect of their lifestyle and philosophy.
Above all, the Fallanassi treasure their privacy and take great measures to preserve it. They believe in keeping to themselves and allowing the galaxy to move around them without ever being moved themselves. They are pacifistic and almost never raise a hand, much less use the Force, against another being. The Fallanassi have a reactive, rather than proactive, outlook on the universe and are content to go about their daily lives in isolated communities while the galaxy changes and progresses around them.
Nearly every member of a Fallanassi community is Force-sensitive, and the knowledge and training associated with the White Current is passed down from parent to child. The tradition as a whole has no goals other than remaining hidden and continuing its own line. This leads some to believe that the Fallanassi are simply isolationists who use their knowledge of the White Current as a means to that end.
While this is somewhat true, the Fallanassi would argue that their philosophy is the result of seeing the turmoil brought into the galaxy by those who use the Force for their own personal gain. While the Fallanassi do little beyond teaching their own children and moving from place to place, they have been known to send a single representative out into the galaxy at large to discern any threats to their existence and report back if the need to change location once again arises.
Since immersing oneself in the White Current is a very passive process, most early years of the Fallanassi training revolves around letting go of one’s inhibitions and preconceptions and learning to surrender oneself to the White Current. Letting the flow of the White Current envelop oneself is a difficult concept for many to grasp. As dangerous as the galaxy is, most beings are raised to believe that if you do not have control over your own destiny, you will be swept up in the destinies of others.
After immersion in the White Current can be achieved with relative ease, students of the Fallanassi learn to use the myriad techniques available to them in the protection and concealment of the community. However, the training of a Fallanassi is almost never complete, as the ebb and flow of the White Current frequently takes one who has immersed herself down paths of new knowledge and understanding.
The most useful ability displayed by the Fallanassi is their talent for complete immersion in the White Current. This not only conceals them in the Force from other beings but also hides them from sight as well, making them completely invisible to the naked eye and to electronic sensors.
Fallanassi can create incredibly advanced illusions. The White Current allows them to make reflections of themselves in the form of “doppelgangers”—illusory duplicates of the Fallanassi who create them. Beyond that, the Fallanassi teach some limited healing talents but abhor the use of the Force to harm other living beings.
Among the Fallanassi are those who excel at immersing themselves in the White Current, rising to high status within their communities. These adepts are quite powerful in their own way but use their abilities for the good of their people rather than their own personal gains. Though a few Fallanassi have fallen to the dark side and chosen to use the White Current for selfish reasons, the elders take great precautions in training their offspring while continuing their own education at the same time.

Followers of Palawa
The Followers of Palawa are a secretive sect of hermits that guard the teachings of Teräs Käsi. It is unknown whether or not the Followers created the martial arts style, but nearly all Teräs Käsi masters learned the style by journeying to Bunduki to learn from these keepers.
The Followers of Palawa were intense contemplators of existence. Consequently, they unwittingly mastered the Force trance. The longest lasted an unbelievable seventy years, during which the Followers seemed to have hardly aged. It wasn’t, however, until encountering the martial art Teräs Käsi that these philosophers mined the Force’s deepest channels and were seduced by the dark side.

Gand Findsmen
Findsmen are religious hunters who track their prey by divining omens sent to them during mystical Force-imbued rituals. Many species view them as legendary figures, although within Gand society the profession holds special importance and prestige. While many non-Gand disavow the power of the findsman rituals, the accuracy with which the Gand bounty hunters and bodyguards predict the movements of their quary or foes cannot be denied. This notoriety has led some non-Gand to pursue the findsman faith. Outsiders can be initiated into the ranks of a Gand findsman sect, provided they are Force-sensitive and obtain a sponsor within the organization's ranks. The self-depreciating nature of Gand society oftens chafes the egos of non-Gand who strive to become findsmen, which explains why the galaxy holds so few of them.
Findsmen are hired as security advisors, bodyguards, bounty hunters, investigators, and assassins. Omens lead the findsmen to their prey with such uncanny accuracy that others sometimes find unsettling. They view the findsmen as a bizarre religious sect devoted to a "hunting religion", while Gand themselves consider findsmen as being on "the path to truth".
Various findsmen sects exist, each beleiving something different about the duties and responsibilities of their members and each performing their mystical rituals in a different way. Some of the sects even fight one another, mostly by competing in the pursuit of the same targets, although sometimes they wage bloody conflicts until a third sect steps in to negotiate a settlement.
If a findsman breaks with his sect, he might as well have signed his own death warrant. Traditionally, the duty of hunting a "rogue findsman" falls to his original sponsor. Each findsman sect has a different punishment for such a crime, ranging from exile to death.
The findsman tradition is highly revered in Gand society, turning its practitioners into celebrities.
If the findsman is not allied with any sect of findsmen, he is considered infamous by members of all sects.
The findsman uses a meditation technique to become uncannily familiar with his target, enabling them to understand what it is likely for the target to do, the accuracy of the ability increasing the more the findsman trains himself.
Each time the findsman chooses a target, he must meditate for 8 hours before he gains the benefits of this ability. If his meditation is disturbed, he must begin anew. Once the period of meditation is complete, benefits remain the same until the findsman selects a new target and completes another 8 hours of deep meditation.

Heresiarchs
Unfortunately, no info is known on this sect of Force-users, other than the fact that Palpatine studied them at some point.

Imperial Sovereign Protectors
This most elite order of the Emperor's bodyguards is selected from the main body of the crimson-robed Royal Guard. They are stationed in small groups throughout the Empire as watchmen over all the palaces and monasteries that Palpatine haunts as well as guarding the Emperor.
No other group of soldiers in the entire galaxy, Empire or Republic, is as highly trained or motivated. They have an awesome responsibility. With Palpatine's knowledge of the Force, and with the importance of his projects at the Clone Vats on Byss, these armored figures have the most important duty in the entire New Order. Each of them is clothed in lightweight, yet elaborate ceremonial armor, and armed with unique and exotic weapons. They are experts at armed and unarmed combat.
One reason the Emperor created the Sovereign Protectors was because he thought it unwise to limit the aspirations of his followers. By setting nearly unattainable goals and watching his men struggle to achieve them, he can keep them under better control. By creating higher and higher circles of elite status, it motivates them all to push themselves constantly.
Just as the Royal Guard are the finest of the Imperial stormtroopers, so the Protectors are the highest order yet. Palpatine may create still more elevated ranks in the future, but for now, the Protectors are the summit.
The training arid testing procedure that each Protector undergoes is elaborate and time consuming; it may take years to qualify, and the waiting list is enormous. Part of the selection process is based on traditional combat fitness, including tests of stamina, strength, dexterity, and the ability to endure pain. Other tests include mental acuity, reaction time, loyalty, intelligence. Once they have shown exemplary achievement in all these matters, the most crucial step is begun. Unlike all the other soldiers at the Emperor's command, the Sovereign Protectors are taught in the ways of the Dark Side.
Tutored in the Force by the Senior Dark Side Adepts in the Emperor's service, they are taught only elementary skills, so they must always be subservient. And subservient they are — so utterly unswerving in their loyalty that it is said that they can't even perceive any thing which might corrupt them from their service; others say they would kill themselves in an instant if ordered to by their Master. Whether true or not, that unthinking loyalty will be most useful to them later because those who distinguish themselves here are some times selected to become Dark Jedi themselves.
They were answerable only to Darth Vader or to the Emperor himself.

Jal Shey
The Jal Shey concentrate on intelectual study of the Force, seeking to understand it at a mental level, rather than a spiritual one. Jal Shey are typically exceptional diplomats, but are less successful in physical pursuits.

Jedi Hunters
Though many of the galaxy's citizens think of the Jedi as undefeatable warriors, the sad truth is that Jedi frequently fall in battle. Even more tragic is when one of them turns against the others, or when a misguided individual takes it as a personal crusade to destroy the Jedi wherever they are found. These "Jedi-hunters" are dangerous in the extreme, not only because they threaten the guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy, but because in doing so they flirt dangerously with the dark side.

Jedi Order
The Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice from the early beginnings of the Old Republic. They were highly trained in the use of the Force, and employed the elegant lightsaber as their weapon of choice. In the beginning, the Jedi were merely scientists and scholars who debated on the unusual energy field - the Force - which seemed to eminate from certain individuals. Over time, as knowledge and understanding of the Force grew, this loose affiliation coalesced into the Jedi Order. They protected the Republic from all threats, including the Clone Wars. They were also used to settle disputes and contentions for rulership due to their overall neutrality and their ability to search out the truth via the Force. After the destruction caused by the Great Hyperspace War and the Great Sith War, the Jedi and the Old Republic began to work much closer together, combining their strengths to ensure no further threats to the galaxy erupted into full-scale war. However, over time, the Jedi became a highly insular Order, and rarely mixed with the very citizens they were sworn to protect. They wrapped themselves in rules which stagnated the Order and turned their connection to the Force into more of a scientific relationship. However, their connections to the Force still gave them great power. When Senator Palpatine assumed the throne of galactic Emperor, he realized that the Jedi Knights were the only true faction that could stand between himself and the galaxy, and so he dispatched a series of extermination forces to eradicate the Jedi. He nearly succeeded, for the only Jedi known to have survived were Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the Jedi Master Yoda. Despite Palpatine's efforts, though, many Force-sensitive beings managed to survive the Jedi Purge, including Luke Skywalker and Streen, simply because they were not adept enough to control the Force. It has been estimated that there were 10,000 Jedi active in the galaxy at the time when Senator Palpatine took control of the galaxy. As Luke Skywalker began training new Jedi more than twenty years after the fall of the Old Republic, there were roughly 100 active Knights when the Yuuzhan Vong invaded the galaxy, with dozens more in training. During the conflict their numbers were reduced by half, and most of the survivors were children who were not yet trained enough to become full Jedi Knights. As Master Skywalker contemplated his new understanding of the Force - not a simple delineation between light and dark, but a more profound definition of the ways in which good and evil fight for control of an individual - he chose not to return the Jedi to their roles as an unbiased police force. Luke reasoned that the Jedi Knights of the Old Republic were once a meditative order that was drawn deeper and deeper into the machinations of the Republic when its Chancellors called for their help in mediating disputes. As this call for help escalated into the battle legions of the Clone Wars, the Jedi became less interested in the nature of the Force and more interested in separating good and evil into light and dark halves to the Force. The Jedi of the Old Republic, according to Skywalker, lost sight of the fact that the Force moved through an individual, not from them. In the end, Skywalker chose to allow Kam Solusar and Tionne to re-establish a training center on Ossus, which served as the foundation for a new Jedi Order.

Jensaarai
As the Clone Wars drew to a close, the Jedi Order crumbled under heavy casualties. With many Jedi dead or missing and the future of the order in question, some Jedi began deserting the Order and heading off to survive on their own. One such deserter was a mysterious Jedi known as Nikkos Tyris, an Anzati who was one of the oldest living Jedi at the time.
Tyris and at least two other Jedi Knights had discovered ancient Sith documents dating back thousands of years. Upon deciphering the cryptic Sith language, they began to absorb the knowledge within. This new information drastically altered their view of the Jedi, inspiring them to splinter off to form their own organization. Digging deeper into the mysterious documents, they learned new and forbidden techniques that the Jedi had deemed highly dangerous or maliciously evil. Their power grew quickly and their resentment of the Jedi began to consume them. They began takin on students and forming families; eventually they had developed into a community that incorporated Sith ideas and traditions into traditional teachings. Eventually, they named themselves the Jensaarai, an ancient Sith word meaning "hidden followers of truth", and continued to grow in numbers.
The Jedi Order dispatched a trio of Jedi, among them Corellian Jedi Master Nejaa Halcyon and Caamasi Jedi Knight Ylenic It'kla, to either bring Tyris and his band back into the Order or keep them from spreading their heresy any further. Unsurprisingly, the tainted leaders of the Jensaarai resisted. On the plains of the moon Susevfi, there was a great Lightsaber duel between three Jedi against Tyris and the other two fallen Jedi. The three Jensaarai were slain, as was Master Halcyon. Sole-survivor of this encounter, Ylenic It'kla returned to the Council with the belief that the threat of the Jensaarai had been eliminated. With the Jedi gone and their masters slain, the remaining Jensaarai emerged from hiding and continued to train, though without the guidance of true Masters. Forced to continue only with the knowledge they had been given, Jensaarai teachings were no longer tainted by the dark side of the Force. Although they harbored hatred for the Jedi who had slain their Masters, they escaped the dark side's thrall. The Jensaarai teachings became more practical, focusing less on the inherent existentialism of the Jedi, but with respect for life not found in Sith lore.
Following the battle in which the original trio of founders was slain, the remaining Jensaarai students saw the Jedi Knights as traitors who had gone over to the dark side. From that point on, the Jensaarai taught their students that the Jedi had abandoned both the Light Side of the Force as well as the Jensaarai themselves, branding them as liars, murderers, and deceivers. This view of the Jedi eventually brought yet another tragedy to the widowed Saarai-kaar, however. As Lord Vader continued with his Purge of the Jedi, her son, a warrior trained in their unique tradition, went to the Dark Lord of the Sith to pledge his aid. He reasoned that Vader, who was hunting down the Jedi, was obviously ridding the galaxy of evil, and it was his chance to avenge his father’s death and end the threat of the Jedi Knights once and for all. The boy paid for his ignorance, however, as Darth Vader turned his wrath upon the young Jensaarai and murdered him outright, sending the Inquisitorium to Susevfi to kill off the rest of the organization. Though a few Jensaarai were captured and executed, the majority of the organization survived, and continued to function in hiding throughout the Empire’s occupation of their planet.
Like the Jedi, the Jensaarai were hunted by the Empire, forcing them to remain in hiding until the Emperor's death. Years after the battle of Endor, the Jensaarai resurfaced when former Moff Leonia Tavira convinced the Saarai-Kaar, leader of the Jensaarai, that they were still in danger. Her manipulation turned the Jensaarai into Force-powered pawns. Tavira ordered the capture of smuggling heiress Mirax Terrik in a revenge plot to lure her husband, Rogue Squadron pilot and Jedi apprentice Corran Horn, to Susevfi. The plot was foiled with the help of Jedi Master Luke Skywalker and Caamasi Elegos A'kla. The Caamasi species' unique memnii-shared memories-revealed the true events of the long-ago battle between the Jensaarai and Jedi. Having witnessed the truth about their founders, the Jensaarai entered into an uneasy alliance with the Jedi and sent a delegation to Master Skywalker's Jedi academy on Yavin 4.
As the Empire crumbled, the organization became more powerful and, at the time of the New Jedi Order Era, peacefully exists alongside Skywalker’s Jedi. Following their exploitation by Leonia Tavira, the Jensaarai began communicating with the Jedi and sent several Apprentices to Yavin 4 for more training. Though they are indeed equally as viable targets for the Yuuzhan Vong as the Jedi, Susevfi is far enough out of the way that they have not seen much of the extragalactic invaders. However, many have chosen to actively come to the aid of the Jedi and some Yuuzhan Vong scouts have been located in the Quence Sector. The extra-galactic, Force-absent invaders fail to see the difference between the two.
Founded on training perfected by the Jedi Order for thousands of years, the Jensaarai tradition contains many similarities to that of the Jedi. Special Jensaarai roam Susevfi, discreetly testing youths for inborn ability and secretly recruiting them as apprentices. With no code of abstinence, the Jensaarai ranks are further swollen by their own Force-sensitive offspring. The young first sharpen their martial skills in large groups before graduating to a series of one-on-one training regimens. Jensaarai apprentices train with a new mentor each year until attaining the rank of defender.
A Jensaarai is taught the art of the Lightsaber from a very young age. Whereas for the Jedi the construction of a Lightsaber is a major step, for the Jensaarai it is only half the equation. Their training focuses on defending others and protecting the Jensaarai from being discovered by enemies such as the Jedi. In this time, lessons combine defensive aspects of Jedi training with more aggressive Sith tactics. Jensaarai lore is rife with tales of Jedi betrayal. Once the Empire sought to destroy all Force-users, apprentices were similarly taught of Imperial injustices. Jensaarai apprentices focus more on martial skills for the better part of their education when compared to Jedi Padawan apprentices, who are expected to seek balance in their studies.
The final test of a Jensaarai student's training is the construction of ceremonial armour. Once complete, the apprentice is then a Jensaarai defender, charged with protecting the people of Susevfi. Similar to Jedi Knights, defenders maintain truth and justice. Unlike the meditative Jedi, Jensaarai are quick to resort to martial solutions and overt use of the Force to maintain peace.
Defenders carry on the prejudices born of their formative years in everything they do. During the reign of the Empire, some defenders roamed Susevfi, harassing Imperial forces. Others relentlessly prepare for the imminent confrontations with the remnants of the Jedi Order. Many defenders master a varient Lightsaber combat known as Shien as well as their own martial arts style, called Rek'dul. Through the application of these fighting techniques, the aggressive Jensaarai defender is a formidable foe in combat.
In addition to the common variety of Defenders, there is a special subset of Defenders that specialize in protecting the planet from space. These unique Jensaarai call themselves the Ring Defenders, and function as a system patrol and security group on behalf of the Jensaarai. Their training heavily involves learning about starfighters and space transports, astrogation and other general piloting skills. In addition to warding off pirates and mercenaries, and helping chase down criminals before they can leave the planet, the Ring Defenders help protect the secrets of the Jensaarai by ensuring that those who discover even the smallest bit of information are unable to flee into the rest of the galaxy. Many a Ring Defender has been called upon to capture a fleeing spacecraft by the Saarai-kaar, and a very few have ventured out beyond the Suarbi system on a similar mission.
From the founding of the Jensaarai until their discovery (and beyond) there has always been a single leader known as the Saari-Kaar. The fallen Jedi Tyris was the first Saarai-Kaar. He was succeeded by a human woman in her mid forties with fiery blue eyes and a fierce and disciplined personality. Originally the wife of one of the Jedi that rebelled with Tyris during the Clone Wars, she has done incredible things for the group and suffered some terrible tragedies. Her husband was slain by the Jedi, her son murdered by Darth Vader, and she's endured a lifetime of being hunted, feared, and accused of heinous acts to maintain the secret of the Jensaarai. Though beleaguered, she has managed to keep the organization growing over the years, despire the bitterness in her heart and a thirst for vengeance. With the arrival of Corran Horn and Luke Skywalker on Susevfi, the Saarai-kaar's world turned upside down. Confronted with the truth about her husband, she reconsidered her long hated of the Jedi. Hoping to strengthen both traditions, the Saarai-kaar accepted Master Skywalker's offer to trade information and training techniques.
Years after the death of Nikkos Tyris, the Saarai-kaar discovered Sith records that told of weaving cortosis armor. Since neither Tyris nor any of her students could understand many of the ancient Sith writings, the armor constructed by the Jensaarai is significantly weaker than the powerful suits of dark armour constructed by Sith craftsmen.
A Jensaarai's armor is to the defender what the Lightsaber is to the Jedi Knight. Its construction is a rite of passage that marks the apprentice's dedication to defense and protection. When the apprentice is deemed ready, he chooses a creature that best exemplifies his personality traits. He constructs his armor, in the image of that creature, fashioning a suit that covers head, torso, arms, abdomen, and thighs. The armor of the Saarai-kaar differs slightly; it's in the image of a beautiful woman. The armor is made of woven cortosis, a craft perfected by the Jensaarai over the years. The end result is an intimidating suit of custom-built armour that fits like a glove. Creating a basic suit of Jenaarai armor requires 5,500 Credits worth of materials. Some Jensaarai choose to functionally enhance the creature of motif of the armor's design. For example, a suit of armor intended to resemble a predatory bird might have integral microbinoculars or clawed fingers.

Kashi Mer
The Kashi worship "the Breath", as they refer to the Force, for its live-giving power. The Guardians of the Breath keep the lore of and the methods for calling on this ubiquitous energy by oral tradition, it is considered blasphemy to lay down this information in any concrete format.
The Guardians call on the Breath to aid in the growing of crops and the healing of the sick and injured. Also, Guardian Elders rely on the Breath to provide them with visions that tell them the appropriate path for the society as a whole to follow.
Each year, tens of thousands of Kashi pledge for a position among the Guardian hierarchy, but only a select few, often less than a handful, have the innate ability to access the Breath. At each level of Attainment, Kashi initiates learn more of the lore and powers of the Breath. But most Guardians find that they have a limit to their understanding and control over the Breath, and therefore at each stage of advancement there are fewer and fewer remaining candidates.
The Kashi Mer maintain an isolationist policy, refusing to even speak with off-worlders (though they do have space-travel capabilities, including light-speed engines and craft). Those outsiders who believe the Kashi will accept them and teach them about the Breath usually find themselves locked in the depths of a dank cell for the rest of their lives for daring to utter such sacred words.
A few Guardians have been exiled over the centuries, sentenced to wander the galaxy world-less until they die. Some of these individuals have turned to evil ways, using the Breath for self-gain and the destruction of others. Those travelers who have encountered such ex-Guardians have no desire to ever enter the same parsec as one of their kind. They also practiced the martial art of teras kasi, refining it over the years into an almost religious form of combat. Through the use of teras kasi, many Kashi Mer were turned toward the Dark Side of the Force, leading up to the events of the First Great Schism.
Shortly after the Great Schism, an heirloom of the Kashi monarchy is stolen by young Force student Reda Jalooz. Several months later, she returns claiming she's discovered a dark secret about the relic and asks for forgiveness. Very soon thereafter, the Kashi system suddenly supernovas. The cause of the supernova is lost to history.

Kilian Rangers
Far less widespread than the Jedi, the Kilian Rangers are a tradition of Force adepts from the isolated system of Kilia. This system is not on any major trade route, and no one visits it on a regular basis. In fact, the star system doesn't appear on most astrogation charts; it's in a portion of space labeled as Unknown Regions in most astrogation computers. Kilia IV, the only habitable planet in the system, is a harsh world of mountains and rocky badlands. The Kilians, Humans who came to the system long ago, have no starship technology. They have settled a lush valley between two mountain ranges, where they have built a central town with outlying farms that surround a series of keeps and castles. Most of the Kilians lead simple lives as farmers and herders, using technology no more advanced than iron tools and oil lanterns. Only members of the noble houses have access to higher technology, and even they lack speeders, starships, and vibro weapons. Descendants of a lost colony that left the Core Worlds during one of the earlier expansion periods, the Kilians have had almost no contact with the Republic or Empire in over a thousand years.
The noble houses control the planet, serving as feudal lords over the farmers and herders. A small band of elite warriors, the Kilian Rangers, defends the noble houses and protects the common people. Force-users raised in a tradition different from that of the Jedi, the Rangers are Force adepts of varying ability.
Potential Rangers identified as Force-sensitive by Kilian Lords around the time of puberty undergo training as Kilian Squires. Each Lord selects and trains one Squire, starting the squire as a starting Force adept (regardless of whether the character has a higher class). When the character reaches a certain point in their training as a Force adept, he or she becomes a Kilian Ranger. Upon reaching a higher level, the Ranger becomes a Kilian Lord.
The Kilian Rangers defend their people from predators, outlaws, and offworld slavers and smugglers who find their way to this uncharted world. The Rangers also protect the noble houses and their charges from the Renegades, outlaws led by nobles trained as Rangers who have turned to the dark side of the Force and were cast out from the Kilian community. The Renegades live in the badlands beyond the lush valley, though they often make raids on the outlying farms or ambush travelers moving from on keep to another.
There are no more than five Kilian Rangers at any time, with perhaps one Lord, two Rangers, and two Squires making up the entire group. There are two Dark Rangers leading the Renegades, a Lord and a Ranger.
A few technological devices still used on Kilia are remnants of the original colony and are usually in possession of a member of a noble house, a Kilian Ranger, or Renegades (who have managed to steal some of these carefully guarded items for their own use). The Kilians have made modifications that allow them to keep these items powered and in working condition, and they take great care to keep the jury-rigged systems from crashing. They do not possess the capability to posses the capability to craft new technological items to replace any item that is lost or destroyed.

Krath
A secret society founded by dark-side dabblers Aleema and Satal Keto, heirs to the throne of the Empress Teta system, some 4,000 years before the rise of the Empire in the Empress Teta star system. Princess Leia Organa Solo learned about the Krath while using a knowledge-filled Jedi Holocron. Aleema and Setal Keto formed the secret Dark Side society they called "The Krath", after a demon from the fairy tales of their youth. Captivated by the Sith culture, they began their road to the Dark Side by stealing an ancient book of Sith spells from the Galactic Museum on Coruscant. While on fieldtrip to Onderon they were introduced to the ways of the Sith by the spirit of Freedon Nadd. As they grew more powerful with the Sith magic they boldly staged a political coup in Empress Teta system and took control of it from their father. Aleema grew adept at using the Sith magic to create realistic, and frequently deadly, illusions. Satal was killed by Ulic Qel - Droma after he learned of Ulic's plan to destroy them and tried to assasinate him. In love with Ulic, Aleema joined him and Exar Kun to start Sith War. But during the Krath's assault on Coruscant, Aleema betrayed Ulic and left him to be captured by the Jedi. After being rescued by Exar Kun, Ulic sent an unsuspecting Aleema on a suiceide mission to attack Kemplex Nine; using an ancient Sith weapon that was aboard Naga Sadow's old ship Aleema ripped the core of one of the ten stars in the Cron Cluster and threw it at the pursuing Republic fleet, destroying them, but also causing the star, and subsequently the other 9 stars, to supernova.
