Monks of Shimura Force Powers

This is a list of all the Force powers only the Monks of Shimura can learn, minues the powers that are in other categories.

Empower Self (Sense & Alter Power)
When this power is activated an energy field surrounds the body (especially the hands and forearms) of the Monk (follower of Shimura) allowing him to parry and deflect blaster bolts as well as lightsabers. While using this power a Monk's senses are enhanced during combat so that it is easier to parry lightsabers or block/deflect blaster bolts just like Lightsaber combat. While the Monk is empowered his damage when hitting an opponent is significantly increased.

Ka (Control & Sense Power)
Only followers of Shimura should have any knowledge of Ka. Learning Ka takes much longer than learning other skills/powers. Disciples of Shimura are dedicated to the slow, rewarding path of the Force, and their style of teaching reflects those beliefs. Learning Ka requires several years (at least 3) of intensive study at a Temple (the power Ka may not be learned until the student has first learned the skill Ka Lore and the special ability Ka Combat).
Ka is more than just a power, it is a philosophy and code which describes and dictates all influences in a Disciple of Shimuras life. Every movement, kata, and breath tells a story and teaches a lesson.
When activated, a Jedi enters a state similar to Lightsaber Combat where he extends his senses and control of the Force around him to enhance his effectiveness in hand-to-hand combat.
Using this power a monk may sense where an opponent's pressure points are and strike them causing considerabley more damage than usual.

Ka Combat (Force Ability)
When a Monk has learned this ability he automatically uses it in all his combat situations. It increases the physical damage done to a user who has no martial art training considerabley and, if the user has martial arts training, increases it slightly if the user has not been trained in the art of Ka. It also allows Monk's to redirect the energy of physical attacks done with melee weapons or bare hands/feet etc. back to the attacker occasionally. If the Monk fails at using the redirect power, however, then the damage done to the Monk is increased.

Ka Lore (Force Ability)
This skill is often used to 1) spin a useful (albeit confusing) tale, 2) teach the beliefs of Kambei Shimura, and 3) seek enlightenment. When a Monk is uncertain (Should I take an umbrella today? Which path is safest? Will this man betray me? Is this door trapped? etc.) he may meditate on the Ka. All answers are contained in its many teachings. When a Monk uses this power he is awarded with a cryptic answer (You recall your teachings of the Sherlent and the Vornskr, and how the tiny Sherlent defeated the great and powerful Vornskr with a single mighty leap.). However, if the user is a master there is no need for riddles, the character knows the answer.
